WHAT TO EXPECT AT GOLF SOCIAL?

SOCIAL TIME - Unique networking time. Arrive up to an hour early to meet fellow golfers, visit the proshop, grab a drink, warm up, and chat before  tee time. Food and drinks are available in the pro-shop until 8 pm. After the round of golf, feel free to stay to continue the social time.

SCRAMBLE PLAY

Teams composed of varied skill levels help level the playing field, ensuring that no single group has an overwhelming advantage. This balance maintains the competitive spirit while keeping the event fun and engaging for all participants. Newcomers and recreational players gain invaluable experience by observing and learning from more skilled teammates. Meanwhile, experienced golfers can refine their leadership and coaching abilities, enhancing their own game in the process.

Less experienced players feel more comfortable participating when they know they're part of a balanced team. This reduced pressure allows them to enjoy the game and potentially perform better than they would in a more competitive setting.

Ultimately, golfers play in teams of 4 golfers. In scramble play, we play "best ball". Each golfer takes their turn hitting from at the front tee box (red on this course). The team identifies the "best ball" played and the members of the team picks up their balls and walks over the identified "best ball" position. From that position, team members plays their shots from the best ball spot. These steps are repeated until the ball goes in the hole (or your score is a double bogey +2).

TEE TIMES - Meet at the tee box at 6:50 pm for the group photo. Teams tee off in 10-minute intervals.

  • 7:00 pm Tee Time (Team #1)
  • 7:10 pm Tee Time (Team #2)
  • 7:20 pm Tee Time (Team #3)
  • 7:30 pm Tee Time (Team #4)
  • 7:40 pm Tee Time (Team #5)
  • 7:50 pm Tee Time (Team #6)

PAR 3 GOLF - When you think of golf, most people imagine playing an 18-hole golf course. But Chips & Walk focuses on playing 9-holes on a par 3 course, perfect for golfers of all skill levels to enjoy a quick round. A par 3 course is designed to swing the club three times to get the golf ball in the hole (3 swings = par). Here's why you'll love playing a par 3 course with Chips & Walk:

  • It's beginner-friendly, making it ideal for those new to golf - we welcome all skill levels
  • More seasoned golfers can work on their short game
  • The 9-hole course lasts about 2.0 hours, providing a quick and enjoyable experience
  • You'll walk and carry 2-3 clubs, making it easy to navigate the course
  • No clubs, no problem - message us to let us know you need golf clubs

INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM PRIZES

Compete for the Chips & Walk Team Trophy and bragging rights. The best team score wins.  Individual prize will be awarded for the "closest to the pin" contest. The objective is to get the tee shot as close to the hole as possible. A proxy markers (metal stake in the ground) is used to mark the ball's position on a selected hole on the course.

COST - The rate to play the Par-3 course is $25 per person and due at the time of registration. The cost covers your green fee and contests.

PRACTICE - You have the option to warm-up/practice before and after tee times. Putting practice is free on the putting green. To practice on the driving range, we have a community set of balls and you also have the option to purchase your own bucket of balls.  Prices vary: small $12 for 30 balls; medium $14 for 60 balls; and large bucket for 100 balls.
